Morna Cannon

Morna Cannon is a Deputy Director at the UK Department for Transport.  In her time at DfT she has led a variety of work on maritime environment and technology, including representing the UK in negotiations at the International Maritime Organisation on greenhouse gas targets, and leading the development of the UK’s maritime decarbonisation strategy, the Clean Maritime Plan.  Prior to joining the UK civil service, Morna’s background was in project management of environmental consents for the offshore wind sector. 

Early in her career she was seconded to the Scottish Government and Marine Scotland, working on wave and tidal energy policy.  She has degrees in environmental and international economics from Cambridge University and L’Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris.
